Also a lot of the movement paterns are the same as in BJJ which also helps. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;When comparing groundwork between grappling styles and systema one advantage systema has is that it covers defending yourself from kicks and multiple attackers on the floor. I have yet seen a grappling style do this as they tend to tie themselves into the attacker. So I guess as much as we can learn from grapplers they have something to get from us.</content><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/5835403522617392073/4243960410101885763/comments/default/2193410648257460139'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/5835403522617392073/4243960410101885763/comments/default/2193410648257460139'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://www.stevewildash.com/2011/12/ground-work-revisited.html?showComment=1323104442418#c2193410648257460139' title=''/><author><name>Paul Genge</name><uri>http://www.russianmartialart.org.uk</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email><gd:image xmlns:gd='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005' rel='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005#thumbnail' width='16' height='16' src='http://img1.blogblog.com/img/blank.gif'/></author><thr:in-reply-to xmlns:thr='http://purl.org/syndication/thread/1.0' href='http://www.stevewildash.com/2011/12/ground-work-revisited.html' ref='tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5835403522617392073.post-4243960410101885763' source='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/5835403522617392073/posts/default/4243960410101885763' type='text/html'/><gd:extendedProperty xmlns:gd='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005' name='blogger.itemClass' value='pid-365364183'/></entry></feed>
